My client closet is a curated collection of clothing options for the whole family. It eliminates the need for last-minute shopping trips and ensures that everyone looks coordinated yet not matching exactly. From flowy dresses for mom and daughters to comfortable yet stylish options for dad and the boys , I have you covered.
The Peeples
One family that has truly embraced this is the Peeples. This sweet family of three has been booking sessions with me annually for the past four years. Their trust in my styling choices has allowed for effortless, fun-filled shoots year after year. Their session is always one I look forward to.
What makes the Peeples’ sessions special is not just their complete trust in me, but also the meaningful moments we capture. Prior to having their sweet Joey, the Peeples’ lost a daughter, Morgan, who they still honor daily. After the loss of Morgan, they had a special locket made that contains some of her ashes.
Each year, we make sure to capture a tender moment of Joey touching or holding this locket, showing a bond that sisters can still have although one is here on earth and the other in heaven – a beautiful tribute that means the world to her mother. I know year after year they treasure these sweet moments.
The Importance of a Consistent Photographer
Having photographed the Peeples since Joey was just one year old, I’ve seen firsthand the benefits of working with the same photographer over time. Joey, now four, is completely at ease and totally herself during our sessions. This comfort level allows for natural, joyful photos that truly capture her personality.
When I have yearly clients, we build relationships that extend beyond our annual sessions. They follow my instagram, where I of course share my work, but I also share moments of my life as well, showing the real life of a business owner, mom, wife and friend and the daily wins and struggles. This ongoing connection helps maintain Joey’s excitement for our yearly session.
Styling for Success: This Year’s Look
For our most recent session, we chose earth tones that beautifully complemented the tall grass and golden light of our location. Mom stunned in a dress from Vici Dolls, while Joey looked adorable in Rylee and Cru. Dad kept it classic and comfortable in Old Navy.
